Miskatonic University Podcast Episode 4- Paycheck, then shopping spree!

Your character now has an occupation and skills to perform their chosen job. Well, now its time to find out how much they get paid by that employment, and start to accumulate stuff with the money. There’s not a lot of major crunch to discuss here. After all, it’s shopping. This is some of the most enjoyable times your Call of Cthulhu investigator will have. The rest of their time is usually spent looking for weird stuff and then running away from the weird stuff they were looking for that turned out to be hungry. We also peek into the dark mists of time to get the attention of the nastiest critters that ever wanted to lick your face off. This pretty well wraps up the actual character creation series. We’ll be going into the rules on playing the game after this point. Combat, insanity, and magic are all on the schedule. If there are other topics you want covered, please contact us and let us know.

We’re also announcing our first contest! The MU Podcast is proud to announce that we are having our first contest, and up for grabs is a copy of the new Cthulhu By Gaslight, by Chaosium Inc., who have generously donated the prize for this contest.

How can you win this fantastic new book? Well, if you’ve been following our podcast, you’ll know that we’ve begun our podcast by detailing how to create a character. So for this contest, we’d like to see your character! Any edition and any version of Call of Cthulhu is fair game, be it 1st ed through 6th ed, or Invictus, Dark Ages, Gaslight, Modern/Delta Green, or the Classic 1920s. Follow the rules and roll-up your new character, and then email it to us at: feedback@mu-podcast.com. Please include what era/rules you used for the creation. The hosts of the MU Podcast, Keeper Dan, Keeper Murf, and Keeper Jon, will each select our personal favorites from the submitted entries. The hosts will then have a roll-off for the winner. Also, please let us know if we can use your name on the show, or what you’d like to be referenced as. And, please let us know if it is okay for us to use your character in any possible future adventures, documents or actual plays the MU Podcast may create. All submissions for the contest must be submitted on or before midnight Central US Time, May 31st 2012. Good luck and get rolling! 1920’s Investigator’s Companion (PDF Version) 1920’s Investigator’s Companion (Print Version) The 1923 reprint of the Sears catalog can be found at Amazon, or on eBay.
