So, you know how I go on about listening to the podcast whilst running?
Well, the reason for the training is that last year I, possibly foolishly and certainly over enthusiastically, agreed to run a 10 mile race with my wife!
Today I, along with over 20,000 others, completed the task! I managed to drag my bones around the course in a little over 2 and a 1/4 hours, not too bad for a fat old Fellah of 46 yrs !
The reason I'm saying thank you is because I wouldn't have made the run without the training I did; and I wouldn't have trained so well without my two favourite podcasts to keep me going ... You guys really helped a lot!
So to say thank you properly, I made some adjustments to my training top for the day. I've attached a couple of pics, hope you like it
Ps I know I don't look happy, I really was/am, I was just completely knackered

Good job! Nice to see a fellow runner! Half-marathon is my limit after my one and only marathon!

Monkey Prime - I've just signed up for a half marathon in Feb so I'll see how that goes ! Who knows .. Maybe I'll manage to sneak a full marathon in before i turn 50! Gives me just over 3 years

You'll need to keep up the training to stay ahead of the fleeing pack when the Great Old Ones make their next appearance...
I've started walking to re-acquire the fitness I sacrificed to work and other objectives - running has certainly earned my respect!
Cheers and congratulations on your accomplishment!

Full marathon is tough, mentally and physically but so worth it! Half is sound, a really good challenge but you've normally recovered by the next day.KeeperAntUK wrote:Thanks guys, I appreciate the support

Congratulations on the accomplishment, Ant, and thanks for flying the Podcast banners! That's quite inspiring.
