Sadly the headline is the best part of this article.

The idea of a society (of ants) trapped in an abandoned post-communist hell-hole surviving only through new unfortunates falling in from the "above-world" and eating their dead sounds like something out of a 1950's "golden-age" sci-fi story. Also, did the ants face any conflict when some lucky scout discovered the (newly installed) escape route? Was the evacuation efficient and organized or was there resistance from those who had grown accustomed to the way things were. And what kind of reception did these returned morlocks get from the eloi of the above-world when they returned?
