Some resources for GMs I've found:
Resources:
The CIA has declassified a bunch of maps spanning the last 75 years to celebrate the 75th anniversary of their cartography division.
The Definitive Guide to Ossuaries, Crypts, and Catacombs. Do I REALLY have to say more?
Adventure Inspiration:
A treasure hunter found 3 tons of sunken gold — and can’t leave jail until he says where it is Sounds like the Deep Ones caught up with him and took their treasure back? Or possibly he figures jail is as safe a place as any to hide from them?
"So as the City of Augusta gathers up the masonry rubble for storage and evaluates making a restoration plan, one question they will face is whether to hold fast to the fanciful narrative of the curse, and maintain it as a tourist attraction for paranormal seekers, or instead embrace the real history of the Old Lower Market, and the fact that the original pillar would have been a witness to a portion of the city's slave trade, a thought that should be "haunting" all on its own."
Either way, you've got some excellent plot hooks there. Both could be true, with the ghosts slaves using the curse helping exact vengeance on those descended from slavers or those who help modern racists.
