Necronomi-Con 2015

Post by Mindless-Focus » Sun Dec 28, 2014 10:02 pm

So, I just go through booking my room at the Providence Biltmore and my flight. This will be my first con. It will probably be my last for a while. That was a quick $3k. That's not even spend money or tickets. What do the tickets normally run? Who all will be attending? What are some places to eat at or for my wife to go if she doesn't dig it?

$3k for the flight and room? Wow. I thought it would be less. I think the tickets are costly compared to the Bay Area. I doubt I spend $1k on the 4-5 cons I attend yearly.

It was $900 for rooms for 5 nights. Btw, the good rates for the Biltmore Providence are only good for the Friday through Sunday. After that the rate is jacked up. Also, they only had 3 rooms left. We got a car for the time because we just don't know if we will need it. We can cancel that at any time and will save us a good couple hundred. The flight was about a grand even. That was for my wife and I. Now I need to save up spend money. So what can I expect at the con? This will be my first con. Also, my wife doesn't really know Lovecraft. She may divorce me by the time it's over lol.

I suggest you introduce her to The H.P. Lovecraft Literary Podcast and Lovecraft’s Fiction (Chronological Order).

Is officially going to attend! And yes indeed, there will be a live MUP show recording at noon on Friday at l'Apogee room (which is French for 'The Apogee,' FYI) for a one-hour episode. Can Murph and Chad really finish a show in under one hour? Will they remember to press the 'record' button? With no adults around, who will stop them from playing slappyface over the meaning of cults?

Stop by to learn answers to these and other questions you weren't going to ask.

There will also be a live Dr. G History Lecture with analog special effects, in'shallah and the creek don't rise.

Other topics TBD.

Well the Gencon Live Show last year was awesome and I have no doubt it will be another super fun time. Can't wait :-)

Sweet! I will pen(cil) it onto my calendar. I volunteer to bring the tentacles to slap each of you around if you start talking about cults.
