If it sounds interesting, I have a Viking age scenario that I can run (adapted from an Invictus scenario)?caddy1071 wrote:Hey all! Unfortunately Chad Bowser has had bad medical turn (feel better, Chad!) and our Saturday Dark Ages game has been cancelled. Anybody interested in an open game Saturday afternoon before the get together? I could probably get something together, but I am a "junior" for CoC veterans, so understand somebody else may be a better fit. :p Let me know if anybody is interested - my friend Steve and I are very interested in some stories of madness and mayhem. :p

Is there an official meet up with the MUP/Skype of Cthulhu guys? Anyone doing the seminars?
NOT Steve
Hi! Yeah, I'm open. :p Play, walk - all in the basking in the Providence vibe.Nvision wrote:There's a College Hill walking tour starting at noon on Saturday, if you're interested. I'd also be down for playing in or running a game at that time...
I could run the Gangster version of Blackwater Creek - guess that's my Con go to for now.

Looks like the official MU meetup is Saturday night, but we are still working out time and location. Do you happen to have Whatsapp on your phone?Mindless-Focus wrote:Is there an official meet up with the MUP/Skype of Cthulhu guys? Anyone doing the seminars?

Man, thought I got this in a few days ago - either I was half asleep, didn't post, or both. :p Here's the links I got for Providence - Just a crawl through the Providence historical society pages, Trip Advisor and Atlas Obscura. If it might help, I wanted to be sure and share. Note, these have some notes from the friends I have along for the trip... (Newport references for proposed Newport Mansion trip.)caddy1071 wrote:Heya MF! Yeah, I'm going to be digging in myself - mebbe we can create a thread for cool places to go and see in Providence. I'll share what I find.Mindless-Focus wrote:Question for anyone going. I'm staying at the Biltmore Providence hotel. Are there usually walking tours to HPL's grave and other areas? Are there any good seafood restaurants nearby? Would love to take the wife to a lobster dinner. This will also be her birthday weekend and she has zero interest in Lovecraft or anything. Also, this will be our first con. I think I'm about to be overloaded.
Gotta run - I'll share what I find when I can.
Thanks!

Whoa, excellent list of resources! I'm going to have to book a second road trip to cover all of these...

If you get Whatsapp, shoot me your phone number by PM and I will get the MU group chat admin to add you. It's looking like one of the best ways to stay in touch with MU Nation at NecronomiCon. By the way -- can you tell us your RL name? I looked through your posts but somehow missed it. I'd rather not call you Mindless Focus, unless you truly want that to be your "nom de con!"Mindless-Focus wrote:I don't but I can get it.

Hey all, I've been away from the forums for a bit (I tried that Miskatonic University campaign advice thread a while back.) but have always continued to listen to the show. I'm actually going to NecronomiCon as well so I thought Id say hey. I'm surprised people paid so much for hotels, its Madness haha. I went for a place 15 min driving distance away from the hotels for 220 for 3 days. Gonna be taking a road trip with my bro via rented car from NYC tomorrow night and I'm very excited. He's a CoC newb but has played in a few one shots with me and enjoyed it. I even brought him a H.P. Lovecraft book to get him into it more.
Thanks for the many hours of entertain this show has given me.
Unfortunately in our late purchase of tickets we missed out on a lot of the games so we admitted defeat that we'd only be attending seminars and check the vendor tables and what not. But I would love to get in on this Saturday meet, if possible. And also would love to meet up with others for some last minute games if possible. I'll get WhatSApp app on my phone but if its still possible to get in on this, lemme know.Dr. Gerard wrote:Looks like the official MU meetup is Saturday night, but we are still working out time and location.
