AetherCon
Hello all,
I'm helping out with an online convention called AetherCon and wanted to let everyone know about it.
The convention runs from Nov 16-18 and will be running games using Roll20. Right now there are lots of games to sign up for, including a Call of Cthulhu tournament that will have lots of prizes!
We're still looking for Call of Cthulhu (or any RPG) Keepers that would want to either:
1. Run their own game
2. Run a tourney scenario
If you are interested, let me know. If not, sign up for a game and I hope to see you there!

Thanks to Keeper Dan for letting me post this!
Edit: removed 24 hours part.

If you are thinking about signing up for games, now is the time to do it!
From now until November 15th, anyone who registers for a game will be entered to win a month's membership at Adventureaweek.com. Best of all, the drawing happens every day!

The convention is going on now! Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control the Call of Cthulhu tournament had to be cancelled. However the single CoC games are still on!
In fact, my CoC Saturday game (3pm EST) still has open slots. I will also post links to the live stream when they happen for my game too.

Missed the live game...but is it archived? I see a recording of a game, about 4 hours, but the sound seems to have been muted?trevlix wrote:3PM saturday game going - live stream - http://twitch.tv/trevlix

Unfortunately, something got messed up when I was broadcasting it. In my original test the audio was there, but when I did the game it was not. I also attempted to record it as audio-only, but only ended up getting my voice.
Overall, the game went well and everyone enjoyed themselves. My second game ended up not happening as only 1 player showed up. Still, it was fun and a good way to play. I honestly don't know if I'd use roll20 for Call of Cthulhu outside of this type of situation. There wasn't enough benefit for it. For another type of RPG that was more combat-oriented, like Pathfinder, I probably would.

There were some problems with the online con but it was still fun. I played a Cthulhu game one of the three days. For me a lot of the games were in the morning but this coming year I believe they're going to have a wider spread of games. Also, they aren't hard selling on people as much which I know made a few people just not consider the con.

Looks like another AetherCon is going on Nov. 15-17, 2013. Still going through the list of what all is going on & didn't see the site last time to see if there's the same amount of games going on or other things compared to this time.
