Origins Game Fair
Sadly, for the first time in 13 years, I will not be.
Have a good time - I've always enjoyed it and there are lots of Cthulhu games this year!

I'll be there. Last year I took my 11yr old who had me in the kids room while he and 2 dozen kids had organized foam battles(border-line LARPing). I did resist buying him his own foam sword and shield at about $50 a pop. They are cool though. If you guys out there have never gone to a large gaming Convention, you would be amazed. The Board game room(s) are as big a football field, each. Rows and rows of tables, people of all ages playing games you've never seen or heard about before. Nerd Heaven.

This will be my first year there. I may meet up with a group I met at 1d4Con. My buddy bailed on me, so I'll be going solo. I am told there are some nice brewpubs in the vicinity. So I will definitely be checking those out.Howard wrote:I'll be there. Howard, a foam sword for your kids shouldn't cost more than around $5 each.

I've been a member of Amtgard for over 20 years, and their swords are very safe. Shields are just as easy to do. Some camping foam taped/glued to a solid backing with a handle attached.
