Mr Raggi has just announced that if he raises enough money through his current sale, he's going to use it to hire me to write an LotFP supplement tentatively titled "William Shakespeare's The King in Yellow". This is all rather exciting!

LotFP picked up two gold and two silver Ennies! Very humbled to be in such esteemed company...now I just have to finish the remainder of my illustrations for them.

Kudos go to Zak S. and James Raggi! If you haven't had a chance to check out A Red and Pleasant Land there's even more reason to do so!
Oh my! This sounds lovely.Scott Dorward wrote:Mr Raggi has just announced that if he raises enough money through his current sale, he's going to use it to hire me to write an LotFP supplement tentatively titled "William Shakespeare's The King in Yellow". This is all rather exciting!
Thanks for the sneak peek, Mr Dorward. I was hesitating picking up the Vornheim supplement, but will make it a point to budget for it now.
I'm one of the lucky few who knew about Red and Pleasant Land before GenCon this year, and can vouch for why it received the accolades it did. It's evocative and moody, like the original Moldvay Basic Box for D&D or the creepy feel of the GW hardback edition of Call of Cthulhu. This little tome manages to build its setting and tone from the very first page.
Next on my stack to read is the Carcosa hardback for LotFP.
Please do let us know if you get the enviable task of working on that project!

Yes, it's all go! I've been developing it for the past few months, playtesting the work in progress with a couple of groups. It's all coming together nicely, although it will be a few months before I have anything like a first draft put together.Gerall wrote:Please do let us know if you get the enviable task of working on that project!
Good call on picking up Vornheim. I ran a campaign using the first edition a few years ago, and it's the single most useful RPG book I've read. It gives you everything you need to run a city campaign without making you memorise lots of locations and maps, which suits my style of GMing perfectly.
