I'd be more inclined to vote if I weren't currently exasperated at Chaosium for the non-communication regarding the non-delivery of the Kickstarters for these admittedly excellent products to my door.MikeM wrote:If you are inclined to vote... My local FLGS has managed to sell 3 copies of HotOE to people who pre-ordered through normal retail channels whilst I have no expected delivery date for something I paid for nearly three years ago.
I can stomach the delays but am irritated by the lack of information.

The Golden Geek Awards are run by the folks over at BoardGameGeek / RPGGeek, and there are a number of nominees this year that fit well within our wheelhouse!
The BoardGameGeek Golden Geek Award is presented every year at the BGG.Con event in Dallas, Texas. The winners of the Golden Geek are selected by the nomination and voting of the user community of BoardGameGeek.com website.
Here are the nominees that we hope have your interest in voting for:
Game of the Year
Call of Cthulhu (7th Edition)
Best Artwork & Pres.
Call of Cthulhu (7th Edition)
Best Supplement (This is a tough one!)
Dreamhounds of Paris
Horror on the Orient Express
Tales of the Crescent City
Best Podcast
The Good Friends of Jackson Elias
Ken and Robin Talk About Stuff
Miskatonic University Podcast!!!
While we hope you vote for us, it would be rude to not mention our friends at the Good Friends of Jackson Elias and Ken and Robin Talk About Stuff are also in the running.
The only caveat is that only paying members of the BoardGameGeek community. So, if you're a member over there, go vote!

Of course I voted all Cthulhu related in the RPG section.
My gaming blog with pretty pictures: http://www.storytellersjem.blogspot.com/
I believe in order to vote, you need to have to pay 20 geekgold (an internal currency on the site) or have an avatar. If anyone is new the BGG and wants to vote, shoot me a PM on the site (to trevlix) and I'll send you the GG so you can vote.
And my votes are down. Wonder who got my #1 vote for podcast.

Congratulations, Call of Cthulhu! Ia!
Given the hegemony of D&D among gamers, CoC placing as runner up is quite an awesome vote of support. Well done, Team Chaosium!
And congratulations to Board with Life Radio for getting best podcast on RPGGeek, and to runners-up Ken and Robin Talk About Stuff and Fear the Boot.
Might as well also mention The Dice Tower for getting Best Podcast on BoardGameGeek, and to runners-up The Secret Cabal Gaming Podcast and Shut Up & Sit Down: The Podcast!
Clearly it would have been nice to see MUP to get a place on the podium, but I'm personally still chuffed about the nomination and it's fun to see gaming podcasts get recognition.
