Sundown is a short Call of Cthulhu adventure set in the Old West available for free from Chaosium's web-site. It was a very fun scenario to GM, and no characters died, which is always surprising, but two of the characters both lost their left arms. One got such a serious gunshot in the arm it had to be amputated, and the other got the arm completely crushed by something horrifying and initially invisible that led to that arm also having to be amputated.
My regular players and me are now hooked on CoC in the Old, Wild, and Weird West, so I will hunt down all the issues of the magazine World(s) of Cthulhu I can find for the Wild West Call of Cthulhu rules and scenarios.

In the morning, mist comes up from the sea by the cliffs beyond Kingsport. White and feathery it comes from the deep to its brothers the clouds, full of dreams of dank pastures and caves of leviathan.

Do you have Blood Brothers 2? There is a western scenario in thar called The Evil Gun. Also, the Red Eye of Azathoth campaign has a western in it called And Madness Shall Rise to Devour the West.
Not a hack!
There is also a Chaosium monograph called "Night of the Kachina".
See here - http://www.yog-sothoth.com/wiki/index.p ... _scenarios - for the few Old West scenarios out there, at least until Kevin Ross' gets his Cthulhu/Old West book done... at Sixtystone I think.

The Evil Gun from Blood Brothers 2 was the first we played in our Weird West campaign. The characters died like flies. We had to take breaks for the creation of new characters in mid-game, and still they began playing with 2 or 3 characters each. *LOL*EddyPo wrote:Do you have Blood Brothers 2? I already have plans for including the Red Eye of Azathoth into the campaign. It was Appendix F to "And Madness Shall Rise to Devour the West" that made me come to the decision to try to get the World(s) of Cthulhu, issue No. 2, as they had borrowed some of the rules from that magazine, and while I'm at it I might as well try to get a full collection.EddyPo wrote:Also, the Red Eye of Azathoth campaign has a western in it called And Madness Shall Rise to Devour the West.
Yes, I don't have that one yet, but plan to get it.WinstonP wrote:There is also a Chaosium monograph called "Night of the Kachina".
Yes, I went through the Yog-Sothoth wiki recently. Too bad not more scenarios have been done for Call of Cthulhu in the Old West. Kevin Ross makes a Cthulhu/Old West book? Where can I find more info about that?WinstonP wrote:See here - http://www.yog-sothoth.com/wiki/index.p ... _scenarios - for the few Old West scenarios out there, at least until Kevin Ross' gets his Cthulhu/Old West book done... at Sixtystone I think.
Thank you both for the tips, even though I already knew about them, with the exception of that book by Kevin Ross.
