2018 Delta Green Shotgun Scenario Contest

Attention agents!

It's time for the annual Delta Green Shotgun Scenario Contest!

As usual, the aim of this year's contest is to write short scenarios. How short? 1500 words or less short!

*Please note: There are two major changes to the rules this year. First, there will be a hard word count limit of 1500 words. Longer pieces will not be accepted. Second, in the voting period, voters will be asked to rate their top five favorite scenarios from the pool. Winners will then be determined by instant run-off voting. We feel run-off voting will give us a better sense of the best scenarios. See below for details.

So if you have something terrible inside of you that just needs to come out for all to see, read on!

1. Entries must be set in the Delta Green-verse.

2. Entries must be 1500 words. This is a departure from previous shotgun contests which allowed higher word counts with a voting penalty. This year, entries over 1500 words will not be accepted. Submitters will be allowed to trim scenarios that go over the word limit and resubmit as long as the final submission is received before the deadline.

3. Scenario titles and stats blocks do not count toward the word limit. Narrative NPC descriptions do count.

4. You may submit as many Shotgun Scenarios as you wish.

5. Submissions are anonymous until the contest has ended, except to the contest administrator.

6. To submit an entry, email it to the contest administrator, epossing AT yahoo DOT com.

7. The administrator will archive each submission to the Delta Green wiki - and subsequently post the link to it to the DGML.

8. Submissions may be sent in the body of the email or as text attachment (doc, rtf, etc). No PDFs please. Keep formatting as simple possible. See archived submissions at the Fairfield Project Wiki for examples.

9. The last day for submissions is Saturday, December 8, 2018.

10. The authors of the top three scenarios, as determined by anonymous instant run-off voting, are the winners. This will be decided through a Google poll, ending at midnight on Monday, December 31, 2018.

11. Authors are free to vote for their own submission.

12. The contest administrator may submit but does not vote.
