Modern-Era One-Shots

I've got a new gaming group coming together to try Call of Cthulhu for the first time. I want to ease them into the experience and one of the players suggested running it victim-style, where they essentially stat out themselves as player characters. Do you have any suggestions for good 3-4 hour modern scenarios that would accommodate this?

The scenarios in Secrets are pretty good for this. I think Closed Casket would be good.

The Stars are Right have a few that would work too. Specifically, The Source and the End comes to mind from that book.
