I saw some of the MU folks played in a game of ViewScream earlier.
Their KS for the 2nd edition just came out:

Question - worth it? $10 is a pretty small price.
ViewScream KS
I haven't played the game, but I've worked on one of Mr. Chandler's books and his writing is top notch. He's great at establishing horrifying sandboxes to muck about and sift your sanity within it.
Haven't played....Yet, but after watching the mayhem they posted I am psyched. Got in on the Kickstarter today and got the free First Edition rules from Drivethrurpg. Going to play and record a session ASAP! Such an awesome concept and also a great tool to get people out of their comfort zone and really into a character.

It was fun, but I can't see this being run as an ongoing campaign, and it may be difficult to run this as a meat-space game at a con.

It is designed specifically to take advantage of video conference call technology, and to be played in a short single session. Using it for a con game or campaign would be a bit like using an Allen wrench to mow your lawn.Keeper Jon wrote:It was fun, but I can't see this being run as an ongoing campaign, and it may be difficult to run this as a meat-space game at a con.

True. I explicitly made this point because for some folks, they only get their Cthulhlu gaming itch scratched at meat-space conventions. So, for those folks who have been timid to dip into online group video gaming, then ViewScream could be the perfect place to jump in.Dr. Gerard wrote:It is designed specifically to take advantage of video conference call technology, and to be played in a short single session.
