By the Mid-Eighties I was contributing art to British fanzines (Dagon, Descending Darkness, Cerebratron) and almost got my first publish fiction then (but not quite). I did a lot of processing the Cthulhu Mythos -- writing glossaries, lists and book fragments -- because if you where a Hindu, you had texts you could find out what the mythology was about, but for Cthulhu there was no "primary" text, only "secondary" ones. So I was working out my own "take" on it. When Lin Carter died and I got "The Life of Eibon" chapbook I thought to myself, "some fool is going to try and finish Carter's scheme for writing a Book of Eibon, and if some fool is going to do it, that fool might as well be me!" So that's what I did. I contacted E.P.Berglund, who was a great help making further contacts. I sent what Eibonic stories I'd written to Bob Price when I heard he planned a Book of Eibon and he liked them enough to publish them. While waiting for that to see print, I also published several unconnected Cthulhu Mythos stories as well.

I've not had a lot published as Role Playing stuff (some uncredited work on the Conan RPG, the odd fanzine piece), but I've written a fair few adventures over the years and been a Keeper for 28 years now. My players have tried most things at one time or another.
Welcome, honored scholar. If you could PM me some links to your work, I'd love to check it out. Welcome; have fun!

Excellent. Thanks. I totally forgot that the PM feature enables after a certain number of posts by the user, or time registered on the forum, one of those two things triggers the PM functionality.

Fantastic stuff! I've only yet read the Fear of Liqoimkh -- but what a great story! Can't wait to dive into the rest!

Hi Gang,
better late than never n est ce pas?

I'm Hugh from Melbourne Australia.I discovered the tabletop rpg hobby at the tender age of 40.I started gaming with 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons,a bit later on our DM at the time mentioned running a game called Call of Cthulhu and after playing my first session I was hooked. We played a couple of sessions and that was it for CoC for the longest time.

Fast forward a couple of years and I'm poised to run "The Haunting" with a Meetup group I created however I find I'm getting cold feet as I'm afraid I'll suck. That's where the MU podcast comes in.Talk about timing! I've learned so much listening to the guys that I think I'm ready to break my Keeper cherry.

I have a very understanding wife who allows me to spend my Sunday nights once a fortnight having a great time gaming with some ne'er do wells from overseas playing CoC.

I do like a good horror movie or book and I'm always trying to find podcasts with CoC actual play, that's about it for me,did I mention I'm incredibly good looking?

;)

Hey folks,

I'm Ian, from the frozen wastes of Canada, where every day is spent fleeing from herds of Gnoph-keh and making blood sacrifices to appease Ithaqua. I'm an illustrator by trade, though I've spent most of the past decade primarily creating pixel art and animation for games. A few years ago I got back into roleplaying, after finally finding a group playing Call of Cthulhu, and it's quickly come to dominate my time. :) I now run a fairly regular game here, and try to make as much cool accompanying artwork for my players as I can. My goal is to put together a decent body of related work to hopefully make some connections and produce materials for the game itself. I've been getting a fair bit of pen & paper RPG work thus far, including a few illustrations for an independent CoC adventure (to be released in the near future), so I'm staying optimistic!

Thanks to the crew here for making such a great podcast and providing another venue for those of us who love this game!

Hi Ian! Welcome to the forums. Do you have a link to any of your art? Or, would you feel comfortable in posting some of your CoC game art here on the forums? I love love love art.
