Hallo all! Figured I'd revivify this thread if I may. Daniel here, AKA Kvallning in a few other places. Been a D&D player and GM for about a decade and a half, with a few CoC sessions under my belt (as a player, that is). I'm hoping to start running a game as Keeper some time after summer when my current D&D group has more time and experience (they're all quite green to roleplaying aside from myself). I must say I'm a huge fan of the MU games, as well as Skype of Cthulhu and Good Friends. Been listening through the back catalogue of episodes over and over to get a feel for how the games go, and just because they're bloody funny. Happy to be here!

Hi, I'm Tore. Mainly A Good Friends of Jackson Elias listener, but I'm getting into MU as well. I'm from Denmark, and these days I mostly game via Google Hangout. Love horror rpgs and horror fiction. Thanks for having me.

Welcome guys! I'm very glad to see new friends from outside the USA. I may eventually send some of you a private message to inquire about your corner of the world. The more I know about those faraway places, hopefully scenarios I set there will feel more authentic and real.
WELCOME!!

Cool. Any time.

Hello all,
A friend in high school turned me on to HP Lovecraft in high school. We were overjoyed when we found out that someone was producing a game based on his writings. Up to that point, we had to add monsters and horrifying darkness into our D&D games. Over the years, much of my game stuff disappeared. Now my daughter wants to play and (I'm thinking) she'll really like CofC. I've asked a friend to look at his FLGS for a used copy - especially the old HC 3rd edition - I really liked that set. However, I'm wondering what the community thinks. Should I go ahead and get the 7th edition PDF and book, or should I try to find copies of older versions? What think you?
Thanks & Go 'Pods!
