Would this be any use for CoC?
It seems pretty handy to me but then i've never played, let alone been a keeper yet, but as i'm designated Keeper when 7th edition drops I wondered if this would help me?

Interesting! My gut says to advise using pen and paper to start out with if you plan to run in person. Keep it simple and focus on your players and the story. HOWEVER, if you love to fiddle with tech and something like this would spark inspiration, go for it.
I have used mapping and shared tabletop tools for games online before, and had fun with it when running a game with some tactical combat. But with CoC, generally, I don't find I need maps so much. In fact, it can be nice to have all spaces in the game remain imagined.
That said, if I had a tablet I would probably want to give this a try for some tactical gaming.
