This rather 'steampunk' gadget from 1898 just popped up on a recording history blog, it is a morse code sounder concealed in a pocket-watch case, just hook it up to the telegraph line and '..._ _ _' to your hearts content, sadly there does not appear to be enough room in the case to fit a watch mechanism.
