MUP Intro translation project

For translation practice I want to do a fun little project: I want to translate the podcast's opening into Japanese, and record it with the current intro's background ambiance. What is the ambiant music called (if I can download it somewhere) and where can I get a hold of it?

Once it's done I'll upload it here, and you can do with it what you will!

Wow. Cool idea. I can't wait to hear it. Dan is the magic man with the sounds. I'm sure he'll reply to this soon.

I already have a first draft done. I just need to get a native speaker's opinion on whether the creepy feeling of the text will carry over in the translation.

I just need a meaning clarification from Keeper Dan:

"It is a place with centuries of secrets in its shadowed halls" - does "halls" refer to corridors or several large halls? I always pictured it as corridors, and have it translated as such.

Yes, "halls" refers to corridors.

Hey guys! Just an update: I have finished the translation, but due to various reasons I have had to put the recording off. Now that my major obligation is done, I will begin recording on Thursday, and have it uploaded over the coming weekend!

Sorry, I just saw this. The theme music can be found on our Resources page. http://www.mu-podcast.com/resources/
If you need something more, just let me know.

All the pieces are nearly in place! I just need some information from Keeper Dan: what is the sound effect you used for the footsteps in the intro? I thought it was the concrete stairs track listed in the Resources page, but either my timing is off or it seems to be a different track. If it is the concrete steps track, did you alter it?

Thanks!

That's actually a great idea! Let's open the floor to others who want to do the intro in their own language (or languages they are fluent in) and share it here. Hell, I'd do another one in Afrikaans if more people submit stuff!
