Forum Subscriptions

I think there might be a problem with the Subscriptions on the forum.

I'm subscribed to 2 forums (and 1 topic) and I KNOW there are updates since I did, but I never get any sort of notification. Is there an easy way to see if emails are being sent (or if I'm just mis-understanding how this works)?

I'll have to look into the function this weekend. I've not subscribed to anything or looked into how it works on the back end.
