Monster Involved in character history
Hey there all,
I would like some help finding a monster or mythos creature that has a penchant for removing spines from people, in a gruesome fashion. It's to do with one of my player's PC's back story and how he lost his wife.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

How about a mi-go that removes the spinal column and skull so that he can transplant the brain later, such as just after combat?

Check out the DG scenario, "A Victim of the Art." It's free for download, and features a killer colloquially known as "the Glenridge Chiropractor" for the incredibly gruesome method of murder. I won't post spoilers for those who might play it, but a well-known mythos entity is involved in those slayings.

He's having a good go at using a computer. Poor guy doesn't realise that smacking the keyboard around and biting the monitor isn't the preferred method of using a PC.Dr. Gerard wrote:Russacky....what in tarnation is that shark doing?

Agreed about the Mi-go being a good choice for this, usually anything of weird science or weird medicine can fit them in a scenario. Another good choice for those looking into this kind of treatment for a victim pc/npc would be some random cult that is getting the spines of certain individuals (or random ones), binding the several spines together for a ritual staff to summon something.
