Episode 95 ends up being a huge chunk of Crier. There is a lot of news released since 94, as well as feedback and a really weird Card Catalog.
This episode was recorded on February 7, 2016.

Feedback-
We got a super cool email from Jon's player Steve.

So here’s the question: Should I stop listening to something I enjoy (CoC podcasts) in the hopes of even more enjoyment in another context (real-life gaming)? Or does it even matter because scenarios and facts/monsters are always different every time through because keepers and players are different? How do I stop worrying and learn to love the Shoggoth?

Good episode. Here is a 1973 TV film that could also be used for a game...

Agreed about the issue the one emailed question was with the actual plays, I've gone through the haunting & it was quite fun to see the house being completely different or the character diversity going in odd ways. Though agreed, if you are listening to actual plays, slot those scenarios to ones you want to run & you can use some of the stuff from the actual play in your game if it enhances the story. Also in agreement with the hosts, if you are in a game with a new Keeper to the game & you know the general story + the keeper is sticking straight to the scenario, it's good to help guide the other players in the fun field of playing CoC/Trail of Cthulhu (tutorial 101 sessions available BTW). Another thing with listening to actual plays, like for me listening to Bryson Springs on Role Playing Public radio, it sold me on getting the scenario to run myself.

Agreed about Patricia making Nightmare fuel for a lot of that clunky site so here's an antidote...MARU

Really enjoyed the episode lads.

I'm a backer of the Conan RPG, for anyone interested in the Kickstarter there are a couple of videos online. One in particular is some regulars from Robert E Howard days actually playing in REH's house! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An0IZ49xMoY

Dan hit the nail on the head and its something I constantly bump heads with my gaming group - separating Investigator knowledge from player knowledge can sometimes be difficult however you just have to do it. An example of CoC players playing a scenario most have played before can be found here:

Steve Highfield in the Call of Cthulhu "No Man's Land" scenario. Fenton Beanland in the Call of Cthulhu "The Inheritor " scenario.

Forgot to add as I've been catching up on podcasts, for Elder Godlike RPPR did a wonderful AP of it on the site if anyone's curious to hear how it went. Think it was hinted at in an earlier Unspeakable Oath episode. In CoC, it sounds very pulpy (so should be fun with the upcoming CoC pulp book) but very fun as the superpowers that just put you one step closer to a mythos level of insanity.

Just to throw a boring librarian hat into the ring - you guys are still archiving episodes at Archive.org, right? Because they'll still be on there no matter what happens at Libsyn, which is always reassuring.
