I loved the creature riffing here. It reminds me of some of the things Ken Hite does in the Trail of Cthulhu book for the Great Old Ones, providing a whole bunch of possible interpretations of the original texts to take them in creative directions (he does similar things with monsters in his "Ken Writes About Stuff" series from Pelgrane).

I particularly enjoyed the idea that the creature could be a native of a reality with different physical laws, explaining its awkward movements. Like a seal on land. I think I'll use some idea like that in a scenario sometime.
