I live in Vancouver. It's my hometown. Send me a PM. Would be lovely to meet up. I'd be more than willing to be a native guide, and so forth.
NB. Van City is not really a favoured nickname (at least by the locals) for the city.

Re: Call of Cthulhu 7e Order Confirmation!
Mine just showed up! No confirmation, but I assume because Canadian customs took so long they just wanted to surprise us :p Soooo nice to smell that long-awaited book smell... Still waiting in Vancouver. It was exasperating to know they were sitting in the harbour for a fair while not 10 km from me...

Will the podcast treat these issues by, say, the six-month anniversary of the keynote speech?
I am doubtful. This controversy reinforces my realization that as much as I appreciate what the MUP folks do, I shouldn't expect them to be in any real way journalistic in their approach to our hobby.

How long does it take to consider the various issues and actually have the conversation?Eibon wrote:Allowing things to cool down, and to consider the issues is a wise move.

Re: Sans Detour Call of Cthulhu 7th edition unboxing video
I wonder how many Call of Cthulhu players are currently busy brushing up their French. :) Although I have not yet purchased this product, fortunately I can rely upon my time in Canada's excellent French immersion program in public school. As such, I own quite a few of Sans-Detour's fine CoC books ...

I don't know about formal events, but I'd be happy to meet up for a drink as you'll be visiting my hometown.

Re: MUP 088 - Live, from Providence, it's MUP!
Yes, we've been having several off-line conversations on how to cover this topic. Who to cover it with, and how best to do it. What we don't want to do is just blather about the event itself that sparked this debate. We want to examine the issue at the source to see what we can discern from it. We ...

So I'm not wrong in guessing MUP will never have an actual "on air" discussion of the Price speech at Necronomicon 2015?

Agreed. Sounds like a Night at the Opera after the first episode - all I have managed to listen to so far.Dr. Gerard wrote:First episode was most excellent. Great find!
