Re: The Future of Tabletop Gaming
I've played in a number of forum games and its really how you would think. Each person describes what they are doing, roll virtual dice when asked and the Keeper posts results and what is going on when required. There are some advantages to forum play in that the Keeper and players can talk private...

Re: Television
I read the first book, and got about half-way through the second before I had to throw in the towel. I had a really hard time with those books, and I LOVE to read, hell, I love to read LOVECRAFT! Still thought the Song of Ice and Fire series was too wordy and convoluted. If you're going to have 12 d...

Re: The Future of Tabletop Gaming
I never really thought of them as a distraction, but you raise a very valid point. I guess I've just not had enough gaming experience, but I simply get tired of erasing and writing over the same spots on a piece of paper over and over again, I might be a little Obsessive Compulsive and maybe I'm wei...

Re: There's Mythos in my Mythos!
"The Laundry"? I take it there's a pre-written scenario with these concepts explored then? lol I know that some of the earliest readers of Lovecraft got exposed to his stories through special US Armed Services editions that were available in base libraries for soldiers. So I could imagine an adventu...

Re: Television
Absolutely LOVE the modern Sherlock show they put out for the BBC. The first Series was on Netflix, and I fully intend to purchase them all on Blu-Ray as they are released. Game of Thrones is another show I can't wait to catch up on, waiting for the second season to be released on Disc as I've no le...

Re: Poll- Podcast rating-my 2 cents.
For the love of god just mute please. The beeps and sound effects are terrible to listen to through earbuds. Plus, you don't really want to call attention to the fact that you're editing by highlighting it every time somebody slips up. Just my opinion though.

Re: Lovecraftian Limericks
It beckons me. Losing my grip.
The reef off shore Innsmouth's a trip.
It smells kind of fishy,
and looks a bit squishy,
I fancy I'll go for a dip.

Re: First board game love?
There are so many I want to try but they all look unbelievably complex to set up and learn. Settlers of Catan, of course all the Arkham Horror games are right up my alley just to name a couple. But I've got zero experience with board games outside Battleship, Chess, Checkers, Monopoly, and friggin' ...
