Re: Eldritch Horror
I've always wanted to get into the Lovecraftian board game scene, but they are all so expensive. Also, they look ridiculously complicated, and it's always a chore to get my friends to pay attention long enough to learn to play...

Re: Music which could be used for a game.
In the vain of music and ambiance, does anyone here use a soundboard for chanting, monster noises, combat sound effects, etc? Do you have one to recommend? Also how do you feel it affects immersion?

Re: Google+
Google + is my go to social media outlet. I have more fun on the internet when I can hide behind a Pseudonym and post what I want without fear of alienating close friends and family. I've found that G+ is far superior to facebook when it comes to public interaction or community contribution. It also...

Re: Smarter Than Human
Long-term evil is slowly introducing methamphetamine into candy bars so that kids will start stealing them from each other, maybe even robbing candy stores, no to mention the massive consequent addictions. Using your queen to develop position, cover lines of attack at the center of the board. Mytho...

Re: Smarter Than Human
The main villain in the scenario I'm working on, and will be running soon, is an ancient sorcerer body thief a la "Thing on the Doorstep". He is centuries old and, therefore, much smarter than my player's characters will be. I've decided to use my position as a keeper to set the players up and misdi...

Re: Share your favorite other podcasts
Robert M. Price now hosts a Lovecraftian podcast called "The Lovecraft Geek". It's modeled after his popular "The Bible Geek" podcast (he is an Atheist New Testament scholar as well as a qualified authority on H.P. Lovecraft), the format is simple question and answer and his relatively high brow com...

Re: FRIDAY THE 13TH...Chhh..chhh...chh...haa...haa...haa
Interesting side note on the movie's main score: The sound is derived from two words specifically, "Kill kill kill... Ma ma ma" Manfredini was inspired to recreate a similar sound for Friday the 13th. He came up with the sound "ki ki ki, ma ma ma", based on the line "Kill her mommy!", which Mrs. Voo...
