Re: So here is a question.
Read it once all the way through. Pick out the main themes of the scenario and figure out what is the "crux" of the story and what are the "goochers." The crux is a part of the story when the plot deepens or accelerates, usually a scene or two before a possible conflict scene. "Goochers" are the cr...

Re: So here is a question.
My advice would be this: read the scenario again, but this time see if you can put yourself in Dean Engelhardt's shoes. See if you can see and understand the scenario he wrote through his eyes. Try to take ownership of the scenario and the plot contained within it. Once you sink yourself into it, I...

Thank you.
I can't take any credit for the story though, it was told to me years ago. I just wrote it down in a readable form ... with a few added dramatic flourishes of course!
Reading it back, it could make quite a nice little plot seed. It feels a little bit 'cthulhu-y' ...

Re: Introduce Yourself
You should definitely give it a go ... I love the atmosphere it can create. I think it's a bit like original Cthulhu brought to the contemporary world. A bit less 'full on' than Delta Green ..

Re: How Do Bat-Crap Insane Cultists Hold Down a Day Job?
Sorry to necro this thread but it reminded me of a story I heard . A man is driving along a road at night. It is a lonely road and to make matters worse it runs alongside an old, but still active asylum. As the fog and mist swirl around, obscuring his view of the road ahead, the man becomes more and...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Many thanks for the warm welcome. Like most old timers, I cut my teeth on Basic/Expert D&D then moved onto Advanced. Traveller was the sci-fi game of choice back then for me. We also played Tunnels and Trolls, Runequest, Villains and Vigilantes, Bushido, Rolemaster and The Morrow Project amongst oth...
