RobH you're a machine! There is a book called "What Jane Austen Ate and Charles Dickens Knew" by Daniel Pool that's a nice guide of sorts (for us Yanks especially) exploring plenty of eclectic Victorian era information. Worth checking out.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Please, please look up the film called Incubus starring William Shatner. You're welcome. I own a copy of Incubus (no really). Speaking Esperanto really tones down Shatner's dramatic delivery...just kidding, he, still, is, Shatner, but...speaksinastrangesoundinglanguage. It's a strange film that's f...

Re: Colonial Lovecraft Country - playtesters needed
I'm glad to have experienced my first abduction of an NPC that involved forced alcohol consumption for the purpose of incapacitation in any CoC scenario I've ever played, and also coining the term "firewater boarding."

So glad to hear that poor bastard Jimmy is going to get himself into some new mythos misfortune only to have the Professor save his bacon. Or perhaps a twist of sorts in the new one?

Re: NecronomiCon Providence
NecronomiCon exceded all expectations and was a stellar time to say the least. The convention itself was so well organized and there was never a lack of interesting things to do or see. Needless to say lots of great gaming to be had there. I was lucky enough to play in two of Oscar Rios' original sc...

Re: NecronomiCon Providence
Unlike MacReady I won’t be wearing a parka and nor would I be so reckless as to waste a perfectly good glass of scotch to trash an early 80s computer that beat me in chess. I mean come on, Garry, Blair and Copper seem like they would enjoy a good chess game too, and there are only so many episodes o...

Re: NecronomiCon Providence
Okay gentlemen, 8PM out in front of the Athenaeum. I’ll keep my eye open for a hobo looking fellow and judging by Murph’s new avatar, Stanley Kubrick’s doppelganger. Maybe we can go grab some stuffies and Dels (Rhode Island delicacies).

Re: Colonial Lovecraft Country - playtesters needed
Just finished up the first Colonial Lovecraft Country playtest session, which was very cool. Great play all around and Ed is a fantastic keeper. Unfortunately in no situation tonight was the use of my blunderbuss called for.

Re: NecronomiCon Providence
Hmmm, maybe after the unveiling of H.P.'s bronze bust might be a good time as any to meet up. I just signed up for my ticket but there were only 38 left so get em while they're around. The Athenaeum is such a cool place - I'm so glad to go back there for this event.

NecronomiCon Providence
As it's just three weeks away, is anyone on the forum going to Providence for NecronomiCon? I'm going to be there for the whole four days and looking forward to it to say the least.
