Re: Looking to play CoC
Sorry to hop onto your thread SamS, but I'm also keen on playing some CoC online. All I ever do is run games here, and I have only ever been a player once, so I'd like to rectify that. The problem is I live in Japan, so being able to play in different time zones may be a problem. Right now, the only...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi, everyone! I'm Jenny--the person who sent that e-mail the keepers read back on episode 50. I've finally decided to make an account for the forums and, unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to play a game of CoC still. Anyway, I'm glad to finally have enrolled. Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you...

Re: Keepers: how do you choose a CoC system?
Sometimes you need a 21-ounce framing hammer. Sometimes you need a cement mixer. Sometimes you need a miter box. And that is my problem. When is the right time to use that cement mixer? Right now, the way only I can think of using Cthulhu Dark, for example, is if I want to play a kind of game that ...

Re: Jimmy
I vote we should just have an episode hosted by Jimmy and the Professor! Maybe for April Fool's Day!

Just out of curiosity: what were the differences in 6th that put you off?Howard wrote:My books are all 5th edition or earlier. I'm also not a fan of the d6 Dark or GUMSHOE.

Re: Keepers: how do you choose a CoC system?
I've basically stuck with BRP for a number of reasons: 1. Its the first Cthulhu RPG and the first I learned. 2. Its easy. 3. There are tons of supporting material for it. 4. Its fairly easy to find a game. I own the books for Trail and Cthulhu Dark is free, but I don't ever get a chance to play the...

Still half way through, but I am convinced that that door is an agent of Nyarlathotep!
Wow, the only word I can think of for Keeper Murph's Keeping style is hardcore! I'm really keen to hear more!

Keepers: how do you choose a CoC system?
With all the different systems for playing Cthulhu RPGs (BRP, Trail, Dark etc.) out on the market I am beginning to wonder how I, as a keeper, can handle it all. I'm not worried about the BRP system being wiped off the market, as the creators of the systems have stated that their goal was not to rep...

Re: MUP Intro translation project
Keeper Chad officially challenges Keeper Dan to read the intro in Klingon. Boom. Gauntlet thrown. YES! This must be done! "The Mythos is a dish best served cold". Thanks everyone! I'm ecstatic that you guys enjoyed it! Getting the voice right was an interesting adventure, and I am keen to do more o...
