Re: What are you reading?

Holy crap! I just found out that this collection of short stories contains a copy of "The Birds," later adapted by Alfred Hitchcock. Perhaps this short anthology isn't quite as obscure as I originally assumed. Also, I did some light research just now, and found out that Daphne Du Maurier is a contem...

Re: What are you reading?

Interesting Blogs should count as 'reading'. Chris Fowler puts together a descent one. http://www.christopherfowler.co.uk/blog/2013/01/30/anyone-still-reading-short-stories/ I definitely consider time spent reading a good blog unwasted. I'm about to crack open an old book I picked up second hand fo...

Re: Handmade Necronomicon

Thank you! :-) I'm the same way. I have a weak spot for leather bound tomes, lol. I can't wait until the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society finishes their replica of Lovecraft's Necronomicon. They usually do really good work and strive for authenticity. I haven't heard anything about it in some time ...

Handmade Necronomicon

Well, it's not exactly a Necronomicon per se. In my imagination, this piece belongs to one of my characters, Solomon, who is a collector of paranormal memorabilia and cannot get his hands on a full copy of the grimoire. So he is satisfied by picking up the odd page here and there where he can. He pr...

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello all, I've recently put myself through hell moving from Kansas City, MO to Tampa, FL. After finding work and getting situated, things are settling down for me and I am finally able to spend some of my free time doing things that don't lend themselves directly to the chore of establishing a life...

Re: History Lecture Ideas

I wonder if anyone has ever incorporated Rasputin into any of their overseas campaigns. He certainly rings of Lovecraftian characteristics, and his life was interesting to say the least. Guillermo Del Torro even used him as a character for one of the baddies in Hellboy, an overtly Lovecraft based fi...
