13 Revelations of the Bloated Tongue
So I am starting to work on some ideas for several scenarios, hopefully even a full campaign, to run my friends through. I wasn’t sure where to start, so I figured I would begin with creating a Mythos Tome that would exist at the heart of the entire campaign. Here is my first full write up of it. My...

Re: Introduce Yourself
That is fantastic! I wish Thanksgiving themed failures was a part of any games magic mechanic. The only riposte I have is that my Tiefling/Bullywog Bard was named Howard the Duck the Bard the Mud Lord, and I would insist on his entire name being used all the time. He had a familiar named Chester Cop...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Yeah, we all basically like playing characters like the anarchist you played in The Inheritor. Listening to the hospital scene and the train scene from The Isley Variant was the most useful preperation for playing CoC with my friends. Doing crazy ass stuff just to see the results is our core mechani...

Re: Combat Actions Per Round Question
I honestly don't know. I have been listening to both the podcast and Actual Play's intermittently, so I can't remember what show it was from, but I am pretty sure it was something Keeper Dan was using that gave characters a certain amount of actions based on something, and I remember the word Legend...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Yeah, one of them threw a bag with dynamite in it into a burning puddle of oil that was between them and the only door out of a barn because of zombies. I had thought he would just run away. This was a character, by the by, named Child Like Thomas, a she-male drifter with a Credit Rating of 75%. I l...

Re: History Lecture Ideas
I've always been super fascinated by the Dyatlov Pass incident. The first time I heard about it, I immediately thought of the Mythos.

Re: Introduce Yourself
I just realized I hadn't done this yet! Hello all! I'm Aaron, and I'm an adjunct lecturer of communication at a couple of colleges in Illinois. I've been a gamer as long as I can remember, two of my earliest memories being getting in trouble for taking the Atari Centiped manual to school and reading...

Combat Actions Per Round Question
On one of the earlier podcasts or maybe one of the Actual Plays, there was mention of a mechanic taken from another game (Legends something?) that calculated combat actions per round, and I either forgot to write it down while listening or the episode was playing while I was driving. It sounded like...

Cool place for Character Pics
A friend on Facebook posted a link to this blog entry showing a bunch of mug shots from the 1920's. I thought it could be a cool place to get pictures for PC's or NPC's.

Art v. Craft: The Skill Off!
Hello all! So I am still working my way through earlier episodes of the podcast, and in episode 8, I believe, there is a question about Art vs. Craft. Along with all of the ideas put forth in the podcast, I had another perspective that could add to some really fun role playing. Basically, when my ta...
