Re: Twist on a "Choose Your Own Adventure" game!
1. Go for the gun. As the thing that was once an old man launches itself at you, you manage to trick the monstrosity with a feint. As it breaks throug the fog completely, you are awarded with a blessedly short glimpse of its true visage. You manage to pick up your gun. Unfortunately, as you try to ...

Re: There's Mythos in my Mythos!
My thought is that the game would have to be set in modern times with internet access and the Barnes and Noble leather bound edition for 20 bucks. Maybe a character has some kind of affinity for science fiction, or paranormal studies etc... they would likely have read some HPL but perceived it as f...

Re: Keeper Murph's First Narration!
Nice job! I would say you could've afforded to be just a tiny bit slower, at least at the start of the narration; The pace felt more natural to me at the end (Possibly because the story is reaching its climax). I'm looking forward to hearing more stories! That was a nice 10 minutes, sitting with a c...

Re: History Lecture Ideas
How about the Spring-heeled Jack myth? :) I tried searching the internet for myths, legends, etc. from Liverpool as I'm currently here on exchange. I found this: The Bold Street Time Slip Kind of an interesting story (And just ~10 minutes from my dorm). I don't know if the British just like myths / ...

Re: Your ideas for show topics
I've always thought it would be fun to design a Stephen King horror RPG. I heard someone once joke that if one was made, there would only be one "profession" or character class. English Teacher. Well statistically, if you were transported into a King story, you'd become an English Teacher

The Humble Bundle
Hey guys! I just wanted to share this with you, in case you didn't know about it: The Humble Bundle. Usually it is a bundle of indie games, but the current Bundle (with only 4 days left) is a Humble eBook Bundle! And if you beat the average price, you get more books + a collection of webcomics in a ...

Re: Your ideas for show topics
I think it's called "N," and it's a graphic novel. It's funny, there are legends up and down the coast of Maine about stones that look like they were placed there, maybe as navigation marks for visiting Vikings. This is off topic, but check out his son's graphic novel "Locke and Key" for another go...

Re: Your ideas for show topics
How about adapting non-Lovecraft horror for use as CoC scenarios? I just sent you guys a voicemail where I mention "The Imago Sequence" by Laird Barron, and I could imagine that specific story turned into a scenario. Indeed, the story reminds me a lot of the titular story of the The Imago Sequence b...

There once was a dread elder being
Whose presence was quite guaranteeing
That sanity lost
Was quite a low cost
For horrors not meant for men's seeing
